This is a variation of the famous salmon fly being a really good point fly capable of taking fish on the poor days. Its popularity has returned with the renewed interest in the traditional loch-style fishing proving a deadly pattern in all types of conditions. This fly originally had cheeks of jungle cock but nowadays they are rarely used.
